Sacramento!!!

It's been a long time coming, but we are finally on vacation!!! Unfortunately Mark is to busy with work (and finals) to be here with us, but he suggested we take a little trip to sunny California to visit his parents. So here we are for 10 days! Yesterday we went to the Sacramento temple, which is beautiful, and just walked around the grounds. Matthew's favorite part are the wild turkeys which roam freely. Yes I said turkeys. He was determined to catch one to take home, but of course after about 4 attempts ended up empty handed. Here are some picture. We will be going to San Francisco for a couple days, so there will be more photos to come.

Here it is!!!!!.......

Here it is, the update you have all been anxiously awaiting! As most of you may or may not know Mark is typically the one who has done most of the blogging. I don't like to blog and more so I feel like I don't have the time since Lucy has been born. With Mark very very busy with his job and getting is MBA he really has no time. So are blog has suffered. So sorry.
Life is good for us though, a little crazy at times, but good non the less. My little Matthew is turning 3 in two months. Can you believe it?! He is still the fun, charming, very energetic, intelligent little guy he has always been. I have enjoyed so much watching him reach new development stages socially, mentally and physically. He loves to play pretend with friends. His favorite games are heroes, Spider man or Buzz Lightyear, and Cowboys. He loves to go to nursery and sing songs like Popcorn popping and Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam. He is also big into singing his ABCs. It's super cute up until the 20th time he repeats it. I love our Matthew Gene!
Lucy is 8 months now. Boy has that gone by fast. She is almost to the point where she is crawling. She just hasn't quite figured out the forward motion. She is pulling herself up to furniture and is trying to stand on her own. She has the sweetest smile and giggle and she adores her big brother. She has been such a good happy baby and I definitely consider myself blessed.
Im doing good also. just enjoying the mom thing and trying to fix up my house, a never ending project. This last week Mark and I went to the Michael Buble concert and holy cow it was awesome, I would definitely go again and recommend going to anyone who has the desire. I will even go as far as saying that his concert was better then Josh Groban and those who know me know that is huge. He was just so entertaining and funny and handsome. Plus I got to sing and dance the whole time. Michael said he wanted the night to be a celebration, a party for us, and that it was. Mark even enjoyed himself. I caught him singing pretty loud and at times there was even a slight shaking of the hips. It was the first time I had really left Lucy and thankfully things went well. It was so good to have a break and just be able to spend some time with Mark.

So now the fun part. Pictures! Again I apologize that we haven't been better about putting pictures on. Some date back Christmas. Better late then never.

Our NEW car!!

Here is our NEW car. It is a 1993 Lincoln Town car - very nice (sort of). It has leather like seats, power steering (my last car didn't so this is a BIG improvment), power windows, power door locks, power seat adjusters, and it is speedy (it has a big V8 in it - which means it almost costs $50 to fill it up). Anyways it was a sweet deal (not quite the deal that Lindsey's friend Vanessa got) and it seems like it will run long enough that I can finish up my MBA.

Got rid of our white car - finally!

For the last year or so I have been driving a little Kia Sephia to and from work and to school. Well, we were able to pay cash for this little car and the intent was to just drive it for a few years until we needed something bigger. Also we had the cash to pay for it (which wasn't tough considering what it cost) so I thought this was just great and we would be saving so much money, etc. Well, Lindsey disagreed with me and probably didn't even drive it a hand full of times in the past year. The car was old to start with and never drove "smooth" so when we took it into get state inspected and found out that the back breaks were completely shot we decided it was time to cut out losses and just try to sell it (oh and this is after I just put a brand new windshield in since I thought that was all we were going to need to pass inspection). Anyways I put the car on KSL.com last Saturday and in less than 5 minutes of posting it I had people calling. I got about 30 calls on the car and had probably 8 people stop by to look at it and drive it. Needless to say we had the car sold and $500 in our hands in less than 5 hours from when I initially listed it. I guess there is no car that runs that isn't worth at least $500...
