Swimming at the Homestead

Be Still My Soul

The best thing we have done all summer!

As I am sure all of you know Lindsey really, really likes horseback riding - she even said this was the best thing we have done all summer long! Anyways for my Dad's 50th birthday we were able to ride horses up around Heber City. It was lots of fun and it wasn't even hot - which was a big relief. Also I am using a different website to upload our videos from now on so you should be able to watch them full screen and they will actually look good.

Willow Park!

Today we had to go up to Logan to pick up Matthew's prints from JC Penney and since we were in Logan we decided to stop at Willow Park. Matthew really seemed to enjoy looking at all the animals!

Smile for the camera

For Matthews first birthday I finally decided to go and get studio pictures at JC Penny. I didn't know what to expect and neither did Matthew. I thought he wouldn't have a problem with pictures because at home he is always smiling and putting on a show. When it was our turn and we walked into the studio Matthew immediately started crying and clung to my legs. We eventually got a couple good ones once he started feeling a little more comfortable with the bright lights and big camera in his face. In the end I'm glad we went for it and I look forward to getting some more adorable pictures of my little man.

God Bless America!

Happy 4th of July!! We had a lot of fun this year with Marks family up here in Brigham City. We had a BBQ and played games and later we went to the park for a firework show. I must say for such a small city I was very very impressed with the big show they put on and would recommend it to anyone. We were able to sit about 150 yards from where they were shooting off the fireworks so they were literally going off right above you. Matthew had a great time watching all the colors and sparkles but by the time we got home at eleven o clock he just crashed. It was really fun to have Marks sister Sharla and brother in law Kimball and there little boy Kurt with us.

Girl's Camp!

So far this summer has been packed with things going on. It has been hectic and stressful at times but enjoyable none the less. I just got back from 4 days of girls camp. And it was a blast. Girls camp was always the highlight of my summers growing up and going as a leader only made it that much more fun. I felt like it was a very successful camp where the girls grew closer together and had their testimonies strengthened. And I was able to make 5 new incredible friends with the other leaders. I will admit though, the last two days (since I have been back) all I have wanted to do is sleep. I forgot how much energy and enthusiasm 12-18 year old girls can have. We went to Camp Bartlett which is up by the Idaho/Utah border in the Bear Lake area. It was a beautiful and fun camp with a lake, river rafting, and beautiful hikes.
